MCGP stage 2. Results

On Saturday, June 26, 2021, the 2nd stage of the Moscow Classic Grand Prix, abbreviated as MCGP - the international amateur championship in circuit racing in historical and classic cars, took place on the ADM Raceway track.

Since 2012, domestic rear-wheel drive carburetor cars of test classes have been participating in these competitions: Moskvich 1600/2000, Volga 402/406 and Zhiguli 1300/1600. And also cars of foreign production of such brands as BMW, Nissan, Mercedes, Volvo in the Touring Mondial class. This year, the Championship was filled with a new classification of the Legends class, whose cars competed in the combined race with the fastest Formula 1600 and Formula 1300 classes.

As a result, about 100 athletes took part in the competition, who were divided into four groups of races: 3 combined races with a common start and a race at the time of “Time Attacks”.

With the support of the ArtLine Racing Team, our pilots: Shota Abkhazava, Aleksey Khairov, Artem Kabakov and Efim Lev found interesting rivals on the track, among whom were motorsport masters Alexander Potekhin and Alexander Nesterov.

The best time of the weekend - 1.37.343, remained with the Legends-EVO pilot Shota Abkhazava, who turned out to be the fastest among all the participants of the second stage, he confidently won 2 races and became the winner.
On the podium of Legends-Evolution, he was accompanied by Alexey Khairov and Artem Kabakov. In the Legends-600 class this time there was no equal to Efim Lev.
