Harald Schlegelmilch won the bronze award in the fourth edition of the Lamborghini World Final, which took place December 1-4 on the circuit “Ricardo Tormo” in Valencia. The winner of the race was 23-year-old Dane Dennis Lind from Raton Racing, who managed to overtake Vito Postiglione from Imperiale Racing team.
Now Lind is the new European champion of the 2016 Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo and the 2016 World Champion in the PRO category. The driver, at his debut in the one-make series for Huracán Super Trofeos and member of the Young Drivers Program of Lamborghini Squadra Corse, has practically won everything.
He scored the win eight minutes from the end of Race 2, when the safety car entered the track, after he had managed to take the lead by overtaking Loris Spinelli. The latter was the author of the pole position with the car of the team Antonelli Motorsport and had been in the lead from the start. Lind secured the victory after finishing second behind Vito Postiglione in Race 1. This success allowed him to prevail over the Italian driver of Imperiale Racing (third place) by only two points.
The winners in the PRO-AM are Andrea Fontana and Lorenzo Veglia, with the colors of the team Antonelli Motorsport.
At the end of the year our hero Harald Schlegelmilch holds the second position in the overall standings of Super Trofeo Europe 2016 among the PRO pilots, Shota Abkhazava has the fourth place in the AM class and ArtLine itself is now third of seventeen participating teams.
The World Final of Valencia marked the conclusion of a successful season for the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo, which set a record of 50 cars on the grid in last July’s round of Spa-Francorchamps. The next events will be held in 2017 and will include the three continental series Europe, Asia and North America, the Middle East series as well as the World Final, scheduled in November at Imola.
